Flaca's Juicy Chicken Taquitos

There are so many things that you can make with our juicy chicken, but one of our family’s favorite are chicken taquitos. On a busy weekday night, these taquitos come together in a snap and are enjoyed by everyone!

INGREDIENTS

  • Flaca’s juicy chicken container

    • Note: Comes frozen, make sure to defrost ahead of time

  • Corn tortillas

  • Neutral oil of your choice, for frying

  • Salt of your choice

  • Optional: Flaca’s guac and/or salsa for dipping, Flaca’s pico de gallo & Cojita cheese for topping

  • Make it a meal: Add Flaca’s Spanish rice & beans as sides!

DIRECTIONS

  1. When the juicy chicken is defrosted and ready to eat, transfer to a microwave-safe bowl, cover with a wet paper towel, and microwave for 1.5-2.5 minutes to heat through.

  2. Bring a pan to the stove and allow to heat over low to medium heat.

  3. While the pan is heating up, heat up 4 tortillas at a time. Wrap them in a paper towel, wet them with water on both sides, and microwave for 30-40 seconds until the tortillas are soft.

  4. Once the pan is heated, add the oil of your choice. Allow the oil to heat up.

  5. Fill one side of the tortilla with the juicy chicken, then tightly roll the tortilla to create the taquito. Carefully place the taquito seam side down into the hot pan.

  6. Allow the taquito to fry on one side, until crispy brown edges form, then use tongs to flip and fry the other side.

  7. Remove the taquitos onto paper towels when they’re fried to your liking, and salt while they’re still hot.

  8. Allow the taquitos to cool, then dip them in guac and/or salsa, or add toppings to your heart’s desire. Enjoy!
